Step
1
Clean
graphic area with soap and water. If wax and grease
remover needs to be used, re clean with soap and water
|
Step
2
Determine
the position for the graphic by holding it up to the car.
|
Step
3
Partially
peel the backing off, to expose a foot or so of the adhesive.
At this point you may want to apply a spray of wetting solution
under the graphic to make installation easier.
|
Step
4
Lay
down the leading edge just enough to hold down. Stretch
the length of the graphic out, peeling the adhesive as you
go down the car. Spray solution on the car under the
entire kit. Lay down the graphic at the other end, leaving
a little tension on the kit.
|
Step
5
Using
a stiff squeegee or credit card , squeegee the entire kit
in place, starting at the front and working your way back.
If needed, lift the back of the kit and re-tension it,
lay it down again and continue to squeegee.
|
Step
6
Peel
of the premask as you watch the kit to see that it is staying
in place. If you used wetting solution to install the
kit, you may have to wait 15 minutes until the water starts
to dry.
|
Step
7
With
a sharp blade, lightly cut all the door openings. Do
this
carefully
so that the paint finish is not cut. It is best to trim
the graphic 1/8" from all edges.
|
Step
8
Check
over the installation. If you have any airbubbles, use
a pin to punch the edge of the bubble so you can push out
the air or water.
